Case of the Month: May 1999 |
| Roberta’s Touch of Charm ("Mandy") Southwick |

"Mandy" is a 2-1/2 year old black Standard Poodle female. She is expecting to be a new mommy approximately May 7, 1999. She appeared on examination to be very pregnant. However, Mandy had been seen by two other veterinarians who took blood samples and x-rays but were not certain if the puppies were alive. Neither veterinarian could hear heart beats with the stethoscope or feel the puppies move. An abdominal ultrasound exam with SCVH's new Toshiba 400L unit from Sound Technologies demonstrated several live puppies. We could see the pups move and watch their little hearts beat.
We will keep you posted with a picture of Mandy’s litter.
